More Reasons To Exercise And Stay Healthy

If you think exercising isn't important think again. There are many reasons you should exercise. The obvious reason you should exercise is to maintain a healthy weight. Exercise is the biggest contributor to fat loss. If you are burning more calories than you consume you'll lose weight. Beyond weight loss there are several other reasons to exercise.

Exercising can also help prevent diseases. Heart disease and diabetes can be averted by routine exercise. HDL Cholesterol, triglyceride and blood pressure levels can all be lowered with regular exercise.

Trend diets and diet pills have deceived many people into thinking that they can lose weight without exercising. As we mentioned before, you have to burn more calories than you take in. Though a proper diet is good for you, dieting alone won't lead to weight loss and there is no magic diet pill. The truth is, no pill or diet can substitute for exercise.

In addition to maintaining a healthy weight, exercise also has great benefits for the mind. Routine exercise can increase endorphin levels causing a decrease in depression.

Serotonin levels have also shown an increase during regular exercise. Serotonin aids in decreased depression. Those who exercise also experience increased energy. Increased energy translates a more productive lifestyle at work and at home.

Ones self esteem can also receive a boost from regular exercise. If you look better, you naturally feel better. A boost in self esteem can lead to better social interactions along with improved relations with you spouse or partner.

There are countless more reasons to exercise. Whatever your reason for exercising; be sure to stick with it. Set up an exercise routine that works with your schedule. All you need to do is select a few exercises that you enjoy. Before you know it you'll be on your way to a happier, healthier lifestyle.
