The Secrets To Getting Ripped Abs

A much debated issue is whether it is possible to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. One point of view is that it is not possible because the extra energy and calories needed to build muscle stop you losing belly fat. Another viewpoint is that it is indeed possible but not very effective.

It is possible, however to get a set of ripped abs whilst building muscle at the same time. This is achieved by structuring the workouts such that it increases the bodies metabolism to burn the fat off rather than starving the body to lose weight.

Exercises that work and stimulate the muscles into growth whilst at the same time increasing the metabolic load are what is required. It is not possible to go into the gym and exercise individual muscle groups, bodybuilder style, if you want to achieve this. For example, when performing a bench press, you are working the chest and upper body muscles but not utilizing the stabilizing muscles of the legs and abdomen.

An alternative exercise would be a single dumbbell press whilst lying on an exercise or fit ball. The weights used are light, but this way will use the big stabilization muscles in the body while doing one arm presses. This is a great way for working the chest muscles whilst at the same time using nearly all the muscles in the body. Granted, you will not build Arnie sized pecs but you will increase muscle growth and mass whilst at the same time burning fat tissue.

Another great upper body workout is to perform push ups or press ups with the feet elevated on top of the exercise ball. Again, all the big stabilizing muscles are utilized which will increase the metabolic load, stimulating fat loss even without having to make changes in the diet.

Having a nutritional plan is critical if we are going to increase the bodies metabolic rate through exercise while at the same time stimulating muscle growth. To keep that metabolic rate surging you must eat at least 5-6 times a day. This will not only help your body produce fat burning enzymes but extra protein in the plan will help muscle recovery and ultimately muscle growth.

It's Time to Maintain!

Yesterday was my 25th day on the homeopathic HCG diet so today is my first day on the maintenance portion of the diet. Sometimes the low calorie portion lasts longer; it depends which program you choose. During my low calorie portion of the diet I lost 21 pounds. And now during the maintenance diet I'm going to make sure that my weight loss will be maintained for good.

There is definitely a drastic difference between yesterday and today. Yesterday I only got 500 calories. Today I get up to 1500 calories. That is a difference I have to admit I'm looking forward to.

While on the maintenance diet there's no particular portion control other than the total calories per day limit of 1500. There are still specific items that you can't have throughout the 26 days on the maintenance diet.

You basically can't have any sweeteners. There's no sugar or artificial sweetener. There's no dextrose, honey, molasses, sucrose, corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup. You can't have any starch in any form (that means still no yummy bread or pasta, dang it!) You still have to avoid all the drive-thrus since you can't have any fast food of any kind. And you also can't have any nitrites or trans fats.

But if you want to ignore the limitations and talk about what you DO get to have once you're on the maintenance diet we can talk about that! You get to add in any fruits or vegetables that weren't on the diet during the low calorie portion. You also get to add in dairy (milk and cheese) and any/all nuts. I have to say that I had a handful of cashews this morning and they tasted absolutely fabulous!

You want it at a high state to prevent the abnormal storing of fat after you've worked so hard on the low calorie portion of the homeopathic HCG diet. 4 Nutrition Mistakes For Arm Toning

There is a lot of controversy on the best way to tone arms. Somehow, even the experts have come up with different ways for getting results. Some of these ways are valid, some are not.

The conditions include warmth and humidity. Now this isn't very likely unless you're overdoing it, however, a single case of poisoning has the potential to set your sexy arm mission many steps back.

3. Trans fatty acids. Your intake of trans fats should be 0, no exceptions here. The research is clear on this issue-trans fats kill.

4. Thinking plant fat is unhealthy. Coconut has long been regarded as a very unhealthy source of saturated fat. But not all saturated fats are created equal. In fact, coconut is a very healthy food. Animal fat and plant saturated fat are structurally different.

All the advice you hear may change slightly over the years because science and research is constantly changing. We never have a clear cut answer as to how things work. A lot of the recommendations are based on projections and extrapolations. Nevertheless, if you want to tone arms, you have to keep on making progress regardless.

Break Your Plateaus With His Bicep Busting Circuit

Circuits are a very overlooked method of training for building your bicep. There an excellent way to overload and force your bicep into growth. If you haven't ever tried a circuit for your bicep then your missing out

So what is a circuit? Executing a group of exercises back to back with little or no rest is a circuit. Of course a group meaning more than 4 moves. Other wise your just doing a giant set. Originally circuits aren't really used to build mass on your bicep. Actually they are made to itch out detail in you arm or targeted muscle. But if you know how to use the circuit you can utilize it in a manner to which it will help with muscle mass. And not just bicep size but shape

Don't make it a habit of using the circuit every time you have bicep training. That's not the intention of the circuit and that's not its goal. Unless your looking to lean your bicep out then maybe you should make the bicep circuit a regular go to. But to really utilize the strength of the circuit you should be already doing some sort of bicep training and use the circuit just to shake your bicep training up. Doing so will seriously increase the effectiveness of the circuit and it could be a weapon you can use to break through plateau

Here is an example of a bicep mass building routine

Alternate standing dumbbell curl 4 sets 10,8,8,8

Close grip standing curl 4 sets 8,10,12,12

Incline dumbbell curl 4 sets 10,10,12,12

Hammer curl 3 sets 8, 8, 8

This is an example of a mass building bicep routine. You should be doing something like this for a while before you decide to attack the circuit.

Standing barbell curl 12 reps 20 sec rest

Alternating dumbbell curl 12 reps 20 sec rest

Preacher curl 12 reps 20 sec rest

Incline curl 12 reps 20 sec rest

Hammer curl 12 reps 20 sec rest

Reverse curl 12 reps 20 sec rest

Choosing a proper weight is crucial here to make your bicep circuit efficient. You need to pick a weight that will cause you to fail at the 12 rep. so it has to be fairly heavy. Try to fail at the 12th rep. if you fail at the 11th or 13th rep its alright. Just make sure to stay within that range. The next thing you need to look out for is timing. You need to rest 20 seconds between each move. So when you finish the first move put the weights down rest 20 seconds no more no less and start the next move. It will take time to figure out the perfect weights for each move but once you do the results will speak for them self. Keep moving from exercise to exercise till you finish the whole thing. Rest 3 minutes then repeat the circuit again. Do this 3 times and that would be your bicep workout

Again I stress to keep the rep range at 12 and the rest period at 20 seconds. Stick tight to these guidelines and your bicep will respond with solid growth. Use this circuit every now and then to give it that extra boost. Train hard and don't get lazy and in no time you will have biceps you can be proud of - 17269
