Multi Vitamin-Take It Or Bin It?

By Haiyan Lai-Heskin

There's no question that many people don't get the nutrients that they need from the food that they eat everyday. Diets that are dependent on fast food or restaurant food at least two or three times per week make it hard for people to get the vitamins and minerals that they really need in order to be healthy.

So in theory multi vitamins are a great idea, but doctors and medical experts on split on whether or not multi vitamins really give people the nutrition that they lack.

One of the biggest reasons that some doctors feel that taking multi vitamins is a waste of time is that most of the thousand of multi vitamins that are on the market today are made up of synthetic vitamins and minerals that were created in a lab specifically for use in a multi vitamin tablet.

How you think the synthetic vitamins and minerals help the body as much as the natural vitamins and minerals found in food would? Some doctors and medical experts argues.

There has been no conclusive proof that synthetic multi vitamins can be harmful to your health, and some evidence that suggests that multi vitamin pills are somewhat effective at providing the body with the vitamins and minerals that it needs.

Alough those synthetically produced multi vitamin are somewhat effective at providing some nutrients for your body, but a scientist at Northwestern University says that can't come close to the amount of vitamins and nutrients that are absorbed by the body through food.

It's far better and more effective that your body interacts with food to get vitamins and minerals from food than through a multi vitamin.

And most doctors would agree that multi vitamins aren't going to completely replace the need for food but they argue that multi vitamins are a good back up source of vitamins and minerals for people that don't always eat a balanced diet or don't always get the kind of nutrition that they should through food.

The proponents of multi vitamin pills has their point that with soil depletion, pollution, and the use of pesticides and chemicals that the food people eat today isn't all that healthy and most of the vitamins and minerals have been depleted before a person even eats the food.

As the dabate will carry on about whether or not multi vitamins are as effective as eating food to get vitamins and minerals, for most of time and certain people that are too busy to eat a healthy diet, or people that can't eat certain foods because of allergies, or people that don't like to eat certain foods, or people that are dieting taking a multi vitamin everyday will help you give your body all the tools that it needs to stay healthy. - 17269

No More Body Acne!

By Lucy Collins

Believe me, finding a suitable treatment for body acne is far easier than what you ever imagined.

Acne does not just occur on the face; many people in fact, suffer from body acne, which is acne that is spread to your body. We as human beings are covered with pores, and when those pores on our body become enlarged, body acne can occur. That is why, if you are suffering from body acne, you need to get out there and find the right body acne treatment for you!

Body acne treatment is a lot different than treatment of acne on the face. Luckily, most body acne can be covered up most of the time and skin on the body isn't as sensitive as skin on the face, so you can try harsher treatments. Treatments might not be necessary, though - make sure there isn't something in your life causing the acne like a fabric softener or deodorant.

Believe it or not but tight clothing is very much a contributing factor to body acne so it stands to reason that as a sufferer, you may need to swap over to looser fitting clothes. Additionally, it is advisable to wear clothes made from natural fabric such as cotton rather than any of the synthetic varieties.

As most sufferers know, exercise is a great tool against your fight with acne but if you find you are having frequent outbreaks, it is more than likely due to the increased amount of sweat resulting from the exercise. To combat this, be sure to shower immediately after each exercise session as this will effectively prevent the sweat and body oil from going into your pores.

Try looking into some sort of body acne treatment spray. Usually, these sprays come in bottles that are designed to reach those places in your body that you cannot reach! They are usually inexpensive, and highly effective. Run to the store and see what you can find, or talk to your dermatologist about which ones would work best for you!

If you've changed your style of dress and deodorant, then I would seriously recommend a form of topical treatment, either in lotion form or as an antibiotic. Here again, the average drugstore has a huge variety and most, if not all, are available over the counter without prescription. For the most part, these topical treatments are highly effective so don't be afraid of trying one or two of them.

If all else fails and you have found that these treatments are not working for you, then look to your doctor for something stronger. Usually your doctor, or dermatologist will be able to prescribe a medication that will come in pill form, and you will take it once a day.

The right body acne treatment is out there, as long as you know what you need and what you are looking for. These treatments range in price as well as effectiveness, and not every treatment is going to work for you, it is simply about figuring out which treatment is going to work, so just test them out! - 17269
