Weight loss surgery was developed to help individuals who are morbidly obese to live longer, better lives. That is why it is important for an individual to meticulously analyze their medical situation, do some research about these medical procedures, and make the best choice for his or her long term health.

Moreover, it is important to gather further information about bariatric weight loss surgery by consulting an experienced and knowledgeable bariatric surgeon or even just an expert family physician who knows the ins and outs of weight loss surgery.

In addition, the patient should also consult the other health experts such as the psychiatrist and dietitian with regards to some psychological advices on long-term goals after the operation.

The results of the weight loss operation may still vary depending on the clinical information of the patient and the skills of the bariatric surgeon. So following the instruction of the doctor is important.

Normally, the bariatric patient will be able to lose at least 30% to a maximum of 50% during the first six months after surgery; and within the year after the operation, the patient has the potential of losing weight up to a maximum of 77%. Kettle Bells And The Advantage of Free Weights

By Julia Channel

As a recent EscapeFitness.com article stated, many gyms in Britain now contain free weights and kettle bells. Free weights have historically been neglected, relegated to the hidden areas of the gym: however many trainers have begun to see the benefits of a strong set of free weights. Free weights are so versatile they can fit into the workout program of any athlete for any sport or just for simple, everyday use.

If you have limited storage space in your exercise room then free weights are a great option.

Examine the positive things about using free weights. With the differences in size and weight, they can be used for muscle tone, development, strength and stamina training.Additionally, they may be used with other types of fixed stations like workout benches or racks for sit ups. Their size also allows for variations in shape and style, so that some may be more accommodating to female athletes or those who may have special needs. Also it lets you exercise one side of the body at a time or both sides at the same time.

The Russian kettle bell is one free weight which has seen a significant popularity increase. As reported on EscapeFitness.com, there are lots of options you have with a kettle bell; everything from weight lifting to stretching.

When visualising a kettle bell, imagine a handle on top of large weighted ball. Kettle bells have become much more popular in work outs. Some trainers even design entire, full body work outs around the use of kettle bells.

Due to the number of weight rack styles now available, free weights no longer have to take a back seat to weight machines and equipment, but have found a respectable place in the gym. Some gyms use racks that attach to the most compatible workout equipment, but others have started to use an x-shape design to place smaller racks throughout the building.

Training facilities are devoted to personal fitness, so you can expect the most advanced and most effective tools to provide you with the best workout. If your trainer doesnt use free weights yet, ask about how these amazing tools can help you to achieve the best workout for your individual requirements. - 17269

5 hour energy against the Verve Energy Shot, no comparison

By Dr. Haywood Jablome

Energy shots are extremely popular as people are looking to find a way to artificially boost energy. Today, I am going to compare the market leader, 5 hour energy to the newest energy shot, The Verve Energy Shot.

The Energy ingredients in 5 hour Energy is Citicoline, Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Taurine, Malic Acid, Glucuronolactone, Caffeine. The Vitamins in 5 hour energy shot are Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Niacin (Vitamin B3), Folic Acid (Vitamin B9).

Minerals are essential for life. The Verve Energy shot has Proprietary Plant-Sourced Mineral Blend: 956 mg Carbon (Organic), Calcium, Sodium, Sulfur, Magnesium, Chloride, Bromide, Fluoride, Iodine, Potassium, Niobium, Aluminum, Iron, Phosphorus, Silica, Manganese, Boron, Strontium, Titanium, Tungsten, Copper, Zinc, Tin, Zirconium, Molybdenum, Vanadium, Chromium, Selenium, Nickel, Cobalt, Lithium, Gallium, Barium, Yttrium, Neodymium, Hafnium, Cadmium, Thorium, Antimony, Cerium, Tellurium, Beryllium, Samarium, Dysprosium, Erbium, Bismuth, Gadolinium, Cesium, Lanthanum, Praseodymium, Europium, Lutetium, Terbium, Ytterbium, Holmium, Thallium, Thulium, Tantalum, Germanium, Gold, Platinum, Rhodium, Rubidium, Ruthenium, Scandium, Silver, Indium. The Verve Energy Shot contains Taurine 1000 mg Guarana Seed Extract (standardized extract yielding 120 mg of caffeine) 300 mg D-Ribose 50 mg Inositol 50 mg Choline Chloride 10 mg Vitamin A (100% as beta carotene) 2500 IU 50% Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 300 mg 500% Vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol) 1000 IU 250% Vitamin E (as d- alpha tocopheryl acetate) 60 IU 200% Thiamin (as thiamine hydrochloride) 1.5 mg 100% Riboflavin (as riboflavin U.S.P.) 1.7 mg 100% Niacin (as niacinamide) 20 mg 100% Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine hydrochloride) 5 mg 250% Folate (as folic acid) 800 mcg 200% Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) 15 mcg 250% Biotin (as d- Biotin) 300 mcg 100% Pantothenic Acid (as calcium d-pantothenate) 10 mg 100% Selenium (as selenium amino acid chelate) 140 mcg 200% Proprietary Wildcrafted Mangosteen, Organic Glyconutrient-Rich Aloe Vera And Organic Green Tea Blend 25.2 g Reconstituted Mangosteen Juice (Garcinia mangostana L.) (fruit), Aloe Vera Gel (leaf), Green Tea (leaf) (decaffeinated), Mangosteen Extract (pericarp) (standardized 10% xanthones)

You would have to be a moron to look at the two ingredient lists and not see a significant difference. One is an energy shot with some vitamins, the other is a complete supplement that happens to give a ton of energy.

The really funny thing is that the Verve Energy Shot is actually priced lower that the 5 hour energy shot. The Verve Energy shot retails at #3 where the 5 hour energy shot is more.

Looking at the two bottles, side by side, the Verve Energy shot bottle is a lot better looking. The 5 hour energy shot is in a plain jane looking little bottle where the Verve Energy shot bottle is very unique and slick.

I tasted both and hands down, the Verve Energy shot tastes way better. The Verve energy shot tasted better cold, but wasn't too bad at room temperature as well. The 5 hour energy taste wasn't bad but had a strange after taste.

If you are one of these people that lives on Energy drinks and energy shots, I would recommend giving the Verve Energy shot a try. It really serves two purposes, it is an energy shot and a full vitamin and mineral supplement, meaning you won't need to take another pill or any other supplement all day. - 17269
