Stop Being Lazy And Get Into The Mood To Build Muscle And Lose Fat

By Johnny Simmona

The success of a diet and exercise regime doesn't just depend on what you eat and what you do, it is also determined by what you don't eat and don't do. There are a few secrets of how to burn body fat
There are a couple additional factors that can affect the progress of diet and exercise. Genetics can have an affect on our ability to shed pounds. Therefore, the advice of a professional trainer can be sought for even more advice on how to do the exercises properly. When they are done correctly, it maximizes the effect of the workout.

Many myths revolve around weight loss. Some even increase pounds and fat. The following is just a couple of things that you should consider when trying to do fat burning exercises. These are just a few of the many that can be found on the World Wide Web, in libraries and in health magazines.

1. Skipping meals can actually make you gain weight. When the body is starved, it slows metabolism in order to reserve energy. This can greatly affect the progress of your regime. Although you may be saving calories, it can cause your body to want to catch up later. Binge eating is often being the result of skipping meals.

2. Eating breakfast can actually help curb your appetite. This is the most important meal of the day because it keeps the body going through the morning hours. We sleep for around 8 hours a night, but the body keeps working as normal. It needs to be replenished to keep from energy being wasted.

3. Cardio exercise late in the day - This is a common mistake because cardio exercises not only help speed metabolism, they also help strengthen the heart and lungs. To do these exercises effectively, it is suggested that they get done early in the day, before breakfast being the optimal time.

Everybody should be checked by their doctor if they plan on losing weight. Not all exercise is good for those with underlying health conditions and may require a personal trainer to insure safety. Some people have to have certain vitamins and minerals in their diet and may require a dietician for assistance. - 17269

Delicious Ways to Eat Healthy Whole Wheat Pancakes

By Jamis Hartley

Making a habit of eating healthy is difficult on a daily basis. Weekends are however a much easier time for most to prepare a full cooked breakfast. As for me, pancakes are almost always part of a healthy full cooked meal.

They are yummy when they are fresh off the pan and they can be enjoyed in so many ways. Pancakes are delicious for sure, but the problem for many of us is not the pancake itself but all the stuff we pile or pour all over them.

When it comes to health we go for the healthy whole wheat pancakes, but when covering even whole wheat pancakes with all that syrup and sugary stuff we aren't getting the health benefits we bargained for. However, without all the toppings a healthy whole wheat pancake isn't really my idea of a good meal.

I suggest foregoing the corn syrup based toppings smothered all over the top, but try putting just a little maple syrup in the batter. Another idea is to use real butter. It is more flavorful and requires you to use less to get more flavor than you'll get out of the fake stuff. In general I like to stick with natural substances instead of anything artificial.

There are many great ways of getting the flavor out of the healthy whole wheat pancakes. Of course starting out with a pancake mix that has great flavor to begin with really helps. Find a recipe that you really enjoy and then you can add to it. Try adding flavor to the batter that will decrease your desire to add sugary stuff to top once it is cooked and steaming on your plate. You're going to get a much more enjoyable pancake with a lot less calories.

A lonely stack of pancakes for most of us is not enough. The versatility of pancakes is because of the variety of toppings that taste so good. So if you are like me and just don't like eating pancakes plain regardless of how tasty they are try some lower sugar toppings. Freezer jams that are homemade are my favorite. They have much less sugar and they are soft and easy to spread. Another favorite of mine is a little fruit and yogurt. Peaches, pears and applesauce are a bit less in sugar than some of the other fruits you might consider.

Another great idea to change things up is to mix your batter a bit thinner so you can role up your pancakes with a little fruit inside. Adding just a small scoop of whipped cream is also very delicious and not all that unhealthy for you. Making your pancakes look good is often just as important as keeping them healthy and tasty. My kids love the many designs they can make out of whole wheat pancakes, fruit and whipped cream on their plate.

Finding a meal that will get us and our kids to stop for a minute and enjoy healthy food isn't at all easy. Having a meal that is so quick and easy to make helps on a daily basis. Of course a well planed cooked meal on the weekend with all the creative ideas you have come up with will really help to get the family together or just help you to eat a little healthier. - 17269

Are There Really Foods That Can Help Me Lose Weight?

By Melissa Newton

Many people are searching for different weight loss techniques and they were mostly met with some of the popular ones like intake of pills and use of other equipments and surgeries to achieve this goal. However, I always opt to use the safer option by modifying my diet plan into consuming more foods that can help me lose weight. With that, I would like to share them with you so that you too can benefit from using this method to achieve your desired weight.

Some of the best foods that can help me lose weight from my experience are fruits and green leafy vegetables. They can greatly help replace my consumption on high fat meats and they contain valuable nutrition that is best for my overall health as well.

Some people think they need to actually skip meals or eat less often to lose weight. This is so unhealthy because it limits the nutrients being absorbed into your body. Instead of skipping lunch to lose weight, have some carrots or a salad, this way you won't starve and your body will be getting substantial nutrition to thrive and be able to burn fat during workout periods.

I always make sure that if I am eating healthy, I workout also; the two really go hand in hand to maximize your results. If you do one make sure to do the other in order to burn the most amount of fat off your body as possible.

There have been many exercise techniques found effective for burning fat like cardiovascular exercise, it is best to try a few things until you find what works best for your body and preferences. The best thing to remember is to do it frequently no matter what exercise technique you use.

All you have to do to reach your desired weight is follow the tips I gave you. Eating what I have suggested is the best part, this is what I did to reach my desired weight and a healthy body mass index. - 17269

The 12th Article: My HCG Diet

By Amelia Handley

So tomorrow is the big day. It will be my first day on my 25 day HCG protocol diet. I've already done my research, got the products I need, challenged a friend to do the diet with me for extra motivation, and received my HCG protocol diet handbook outlining the do's and don'ts from HCG Diet Direct.

I think I'll read the booklet through once more today just to make sure I've got the basics down. It would make it so much harder to have to keep referring to the book as I go about my day. I'd rather just be aware of the rules not have to wonder and look it up periodically; we'll see how that goes. I found a sample shopping list in the booklet so I'm going to take it right now and run to the grocery store so I've got all the necessary items on hand when it's time to start eating "HCG approved" according to the HCG protocol diet.

I am finally back at home after running out to the store. That was the worst timing EVER. I forgot that everyone is there right now getting their forgotten items for Thursday's big feast. I guess that's one negative that I've discovered about starting the diet the day before Thanksgiving. You have to shop for your fresh produce right in the midst of the crazy holiday bustle.

But I got what I needed and I'm back. Tomorrow's the day before Thanksgiving and Lisa and I are both going to start the diet with the first day of loading. Thanksgiving is going to be the most perfect loading day EVER. I won't even have to choose one type of dessert. I could try a few and not even feel bad because I'm supposed to be trying to eat as many high fat calories as possible. Tell me that's not perfect; especially considering that directly following the Thanksgiving "loading" fun I'll be embarking on a 500 calorie per day diet. Ouch! At least I'll be able to bid a proper farewell to a lot of yummy foods I won't be touching for quite a while!

One thing that other dieters say over and over is that you never want to find yourself hungry without something HCG approved on hand. It's not as easy as running through the nearest drive thru so you have to think ahead. So I'm taking their advice and trying to start off on the right foot. I got everything on the suggested shopping list. It wasn't a lot. It was basically fresh fruits and vegetables, approved spices that add some flavor without breaking the rules of the HCG protocol diet...that kind of thing.

And since I'm all ready to go with nothing left to do to prepare for the diet...I'm off to enjoy today. It's my last no diet day for the next few weeks. Happy early Thanksgiving! - 17269

Fast Weight Loss Diets - Discover The Secret Winning Fat Loss Burning Diet

By Chris J. Foley

Who on earth would wish to lose weight slowly? Nobody as far as I know. That is why it's important to be aware of the fast weight loss diets that can help you to reach your target weight and get rid of the excess fat. Let's take a closer look and find out what are the best diets giving the greatest sustainable weight loss.

The Cabbage Soup Diet

This diet uses cabbage as pretty much the only ingredient. You eat this over a period of seven days.

Some people have managed a huge 10 pound fat loss in barely a week when following this diet. But it soon goes back on afterwards which makes most people believe that it was just water that was lost.

But when you consider everything, this diet is OK because it's designed to be followed only for a single week. Do not go any longer than that or you will risk malnutrition.

Low GI Diet

All types of food have something called a glycemic index. It's a measure of how fast the food delivers energy. The idea with this diet is that you eat more slow burning foods.

Actually this diet works fairly well. By eliminating white bread, white sugar and anything that is refined, it is much easier to stop yourself from getting hungry.

Overall this is a decent diet but there is one drawback. The weight loss is not particularly fast compared to other diets.

My Diet Plan

This year, I lost 44 pounds in 4 months. The amazing thing about it was the way that I did it.

First, I started to listen to my body and my hunger. These days I stop eating food when I am no longer hungry and I only eat whenever I feel hungry. Sounds simple and it really is.

Secondly, I now eat better than before. I get a good breakfast every morning consisting of low glycemic index foods and fruit. I'm no vegetarian though and I can still eat junk food whenever I feel like it. - 17269
