MMS, Defined

By Lee Jacobs

MMS is a name given to a supplement that was originally put together by someone named Jim Humble. Humble made discovery while he was on a gold finding expedition a number of years ago. On the expedition, two members were struck down with malaria, and help was hours away. No matter; Jim sprung into action. He had liquid oxygen with him, and within hours the two men were up and feeling fine. When he got home, Jim took a closer look at this molecule, and tried to determine how it actually worked.

Ok, now for a little science.

Though it may seem so, the active constituent of MMS is not sodium chlorite, or liquid oxygen. Instead, it is the chlorine dioxide it contains. When sodium chlorite is mixed with a premeasured amount of an acid like citric acid, a significant amount of chlorine dioxide is produced within several minutes.

When you look at the chlorine dioxide molecule, you can easily mistake its chlorine part for what is more commonly known as chlorine gas. Nonetheless, chlorine is found in nature in large quantities, and most often it is bound to sodium, which gives us table salt.

Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound being composed of one chlorine ion & two ions of oxygen.

Chlorine dioxide is a powerful agent of oxidization, actively accepting electrons from other molecules more commonly known as "electron donors." At this stage, it's important to note, almost all pathogenic stressors are electron donors. This is why healthy tissue within the body is usually not touched by the chlorine dioxide compound.

Chlorine dioxide has actually been used within the industry for a good 60 years as a water purifier. The EPA has approved it (as of several decades ago) because it can remove deadly pathogen like anthrax from our water supply. This is further proof that chlorine dioxide is an effective pathogen destroyer. And unlike chlorine, the compound breaks down into harmless byproducts of carbon dioxide and water. Chlorine itself takes much longer to break down, and that's not its only problem. It also has byproducts that can be carcinogenic.

Chlorine dioxide is a highly volatile substance, and must be created "on - site". That is why it is transported in the more benign state of sodium chlorite. Within the last few years it has become accepted within the water purification industry that this is a much more preferable molecule to use, and chlorine is now being systematically replaced across the country.

In its final state, the MMS solution discovered by Jim Humble is 28% sodium chlorite and a mix of distilled water. To use it, one mixes five drops of citric acid activator with a drop of MMS solution (sodium chloride) to make the necessary chlorine dioxide.

By having your very own supply of sodium chlorite and appropriate activator on hand, which is entirely safe to transport, you can have your very own pathogen killer and water purifier with you regardless of where you may happen to find yourself.

In short, you have your good health in your hands. - 17269
