Features of a sleep routine include regular sleep hours. For example, go to sleep at ten and wake up at six. Also, a bedtime ritual can help to prepare the mind and body for sleep. A bedtime ritual is a set routine that is performed nightly before going to bed.

Having a bedtime may seem childish but it is one of the best ways to fight fatigue. Sleeping during the same hours trains your body that it is time to sleep. Additionally, a bedtime ritual, which is a routine of activities done before bedtime, will reinforce the training. For example, taking a hot bubble bath or laying down to read for an hour.

Pain is the most common symptom of fibromyalgia. It is also the most difficult to treat. Some experts believe that regular aerobic exercise will ease pain. However, repetitive motion can also worsen the symptoms of pain. Other experts state that regular stretching of the afflicted muscles will help. However, in more severe cases of fibromyalgia stretching can cause extreme pain.

Pain management can also be achieved in some patients through the use of medication. However, caution is necessary when treating fibromyalgia pain with pain killers, because some pain medications hinder the body's ability to enter deep sleep.
