Vitamins in our life are essential for the correct functioning of our bodies, and they are acquired externally as we can't auto-provide them. We must ensure we have a diet with good quantities of vitamins and nutritional value.

The vitamin B complex is comprised from a family of vitamins, designed with the letter B and a number, and they must be taken as a whole.

Among the most common types of vitamin deficiencies, we have B12 deficiency; this can take place due to certain factors such as toxins in the environment, processed foods and even stress.

This vitamin condition can lead to the development of serious signs such as neurological disorders and anemia, the effect is worse in children.

Among the people who have a higher risk of develop a deficiency of B12, we have those who follow a vegan or vegetarian diet. They avoid all animal food in the diet, and to compensate this, they will have to include in their lives supplementation.

Animal food products are the best when it comes to providing this vitamin, we can easily found it in eggs, liver, muscle flesh and dairy products.

Unfortunately, the vitamin is not found in good quantities in plant food. Too get the amounts we need we would have to ingest great quantities of vegetables containing small amounts.

Among the few vegetable sources that offer vitamin B we have avocado, spinach, soybeans, bananas and baked potatoes. Still, vegetarian need the aid of fortified cereals or supplements.

Treatment of this type of deficiency will be given according to the severity of your case and your current lifestyle habits. Some forms of vitamin B are available to be supplemented via injections, sublingual means and even creams.
