Great abs can be had quickly by watching what you eat and what you do. Instead of falling for the latest fad diet and the latest wonder machine, just control food intake and engage in daily physical activity. Striking a balance between these 2 factors will give you great abs very quickly.

Food choices and workouts are the best way to get quick abs. The combination of limiting fat intake and burning off excess body fat ensures that our body will not be saddled with anymore fat than it needs. Combine that with workouts to jumpstart our metabolism and in no time, great-looking abs will be revealed.

Our diet plays a key role in getting visible abs. When we eat complex carbohydrates and lean protein, we provide our body with the proper fuel to burn. We need to avoid high fat foods, sodas and fast foods, which are high in calories and difficult for our body to fully burn. When our body is unable to burn all the calories we eat, it is converted into fat and stored in our body.

Choosing to eat small, frequent meals is a great way to limit our caloric intake with the additional benefit of keeping us energized throughout the day. Because our system isn't overloaded with calories in just a single meal, there are more chances for it to completely burn off what was consumed, leaving less chances for fat accumulation and storage.

Daily physical activity is key to speed up your metabolism. Maintaining such activity forces the body to burn more calories than usual and doing this regularly will make the body efficient at burning fat.

Workouts that involve almost the whole body like lunges, pushups, squats and chin ups are the best ones to do because they use up more energy when executed properly as compared to just doing leg lifts or bicep curls.

Higher intensity activities like interval and weight training pushes the body to work even with low oxygen stores in the muscles. However, the body now needs to restock the oxygen-starved muscles in order to nourish and get rid of waste in them. This continues after the activity is over, which means the body keeps on burning fat to fuel this occurrence.

What you eat and what you do are major factors to getting great abs quickly. A balanced diet but no physical activity will not let you burn fat and reveal those abs. The reverse is true as well. The key is to balance these 2 factors out. Only then can you get flat abs quickly. - 17269
