A Few Words Truvia Sweetener

By Art Malley

It's continually growing in popularity of late, and the trend looks poised to continue. The use of truvia is growing, as consumers definitely have an initial favorable opinion about it.

The key selling point to this sweetener is the fact that it's extremely low in calories and that it's completely natural. It isn't made of a processed chemical blend like Equal and other sweeteners are.

Since Truvia has been met with a good deal of initial customer enthusiasm, the number of products that it's used in continues to grow and sales are healthy. If you're a soda drinker, you've probably already seen a few drinks with the sweetener.

Despite the company's claims that everything is safe, there are still many people who cast doubt, as they have a cautious stance. They want to make sure that the product is free and clear of any and all side effects.

This doesn't have as much to do with doubt for the actual supplement itself, but instead because of some of the various products that we once believed to be safe following their release before they turned out to cause damage to the body.

If you naturally worry about things like this, you may want to limit your intake of Truvia until more evidence surfaces that proves it may be safe for use. Still, the prospect of a natural sweetener that has no calories or chemicals is too hard to pass up.

Many people place a large amount of faith in the FDA, and the fact that everything with respect to this sweetener has been deemed safe by the regulatory body bodes really well for consumer confidence.

On top of this, there's nothing documented at this point that associates the use of the sweetener with any health complications or side effects. This gives many the green light and enough assurance that its use is risk free. Everyone's body handles things differently though. Some users have complained of headaches and other symptoms. Then again, there's no proof that these claims can be substantiated and it's always possible that the side effects can be tied to the use of something else.

Is this to be taken seriously, or can we write it off as some of the frivolous claims we see about nearly everything out there? While no one can say with certainty what the case may be, one thing is for sure. The FDA approval wins Truvia some major confidence points, and it looks like it's here to stay. - 17269
