Using Meatless Substitutions With Your Family Meals

With the best of resources and a good idea of what for Veggie lover likes to eat, creating one family meal for everyone in the household is now an option. Using meat free substitutions when preparing your dinner menu's has never been easier.

I can take my favorite family recipes and create a meatless version that still has great texture and taste without using meat. Companies have finally filling the grocery stores with many delicious meat free products.

If I'm going to cook burgers for dinner, I include a package veggie burgers to the shopping list. I have learned to include basic meatless food items each time I visit the grocery store.

It is so simple to adjust my meal planning to include easy meatless options for dinner each night. I would also recommend preparing meatless main dishes using your meat as the side dish, this is a great way to introduce the family to new veggies and gain control over your healthy eating habits.

This list gives you some simple meatless substitutions to use in some of the most popular traditional dinner meals:

Sandwiches with BBQ - this is a quick family meal idea I love to make all the time

*Meatless option - tofu fried

*Meat eater - use beef or chicken

Homemade Pizza - I just love meal idea without meat but I'll include my families favorite toppings

*Veggie eater - mushrooms, green pepper, onions, olives and the list goes on and on

*Meat options - pepperoni, sausage, ham and all the meatless options listed above.

Family Spaghetti - a quick dinner idea for any household

*Meat free version - lots of cheese, your favorite red sauce and all the veggies you can think of, nothing is off limits with spaghetti

*Meat eaters - all of the above top with some homemade meatballs

Ground Beef or Turkey Burgers - camping, barbecues and picnics wouldn't be the same without them

*Veggie eater - a great veggie burger made with lentils - healthy and delicious or your favorite store bought brand

*Traditional version - ground turkey or ground beef cooked the way you like it - me, well done!

A Pasta Dinner - a simple traditional family favorite meal and it's inexpensive

*Veggie eater - a rich sauce smothering a bed of your favorite noodles top with cheese

*Meat options - add some sausage and red sauce or chicken and white sauce to the noodle of your choice

These are just a few of the ideas you can use when creating one meal for 2 types of eaters. Don't be afraid to experiment with those family favorite meals, you never know it just might become the next great meals.
